I found this journal in a little shop in Osoyoos, British Columbia. I was drawn to the colours and the hand-drawn lines.

The website papayaart.com is great – they offer everything from luggage tags to hand cream with similar designs to the journal. And I was thrilled to read in the About -> History section that the Papaya brand was started by a mother-daughter team in 2003: Gina and Anahata Katkin. Further, that the designs are based on “artistic elements from years of Anahata’s art journals.” Amazing. I am definitely going to be following her blog.

The Papaya! Living section shows their fantastic store displays.

Journals! Imagine my surprise when I was examining this photo and saw my Botanical Slip Cover Journal on the bottom right! Image from papayaart.com.

The blog is interesting with 4 contributors. I love the elephant sculptures! And if you scroll down to the entry for Sept 27 you’ll see 4 new spiral notebook designs.

So beautiful – I want one of everything! Have fun looking around!
