Still using my Manuscript pen with Waterman Harmonious Green ink. I wrote so much this week I refilled the barrel TWICE! My next pen will be chosen on July 29.

Purchases: I reviewed the goodies from Mrs. Brimbles in this post. And the package from Erin Condren arrived this week so look for that review this weekend.

Some points covered this week in my journals:

  • I was writing in my Believe, Hope, Imagine journal and realized from the dates (I do date those entries, don’t know why) that I have been writing in it since September of 2008! Holy cow. Only 6 pages left in that one.
  • The Father Brown television series is a long time favorite of mine and recently I saw the episode where the rectory runs out of tea. This dire circumstance is quickly rectified while Father Brown solves a murder or two, and he is shown reluctantly leaving his “cuppa” to unravel yet another puzzle. I read G.K. Chesterton’s Father Brown stories, upon which the series is based, and loved them. Check it out if you can (and if you love British murder mysteries like me!) Oh and fans of Harry Potter will recognize Mark Williams (Arthur Weasley) in the title role.
  • You may have noticed on the YouTubes and presumably Instagram that July is also known as OneBookJuly for the journaling/planner community. The aim is to simplify your system and learn something about what works for you and what doesn’t. I have not felt the need to participate because I cannot combine my planner and my journal into one book. Just doesn’t work for me. I suspect some folks use this as an excuse to introduce yet another book into their already overloaded arsenal. My system works for me and I don’t feel the need to challenge myself to change it. But people seem to have fun doing it so if it’s something you are interested in search for “onebookjuly” on various social media and get started!

Until next week, happy writing!
