Finally got my Lamy At-Star cleaned and inked up with Waterman Purple, and I’ve been using it in my journal all week. I enjoy writing with the Al-Star more than the Safari. Perhaps the Safari will end up in a giveaway.

I will announce the pen for February on January 27.

Last Sunday I wrote about some journals I got for Christmas, and Part II of that post will go up this Sunday.

Purchases: I completely forgot that when I placed my order for my Boxing Day Deal I also put another Nemosine Singularity into my cart, this time with a medium nib in brown and silver. That arrived this week, along with a free pen from Goldspot (the vendor through Amazon): a Jinhao 599a! Wonderful and unexpected. Blog post coming soon.

Giveaways: Check out my post NaJoWriMo and a Giveaway and enter to win my Monteverde Poquito! Giveaway closes on January 30.

Some points covered this week in my journals:

  • Mostly I’ve been working on the journal prompts for NaJoWriMo. I will admit I am behind by a couple of days but I’m still doing it. In keeping with the theme of Personal Growth I’ve been writing about what personal challenges I think I will face for the growth I want to see in myself this year, and various lists of books and things that might help me on my way. Still enjoying it.
  • I’ve been writing in my journal with my new Nemosine Singularity in brown and silver, and also my free Jinhao 599a. For this second Singularity I got a medium nib (the first one was a broad) and it’s a really great writer. And the Jinhao 599a is a happy surprise – it has a Goldspot nib and is really fun to use. I think it’s a fine nib which is great because I don’t have too many of those.

Until next post, happy writing!
